Mourad Boutros to showcase his art at Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition 2012

Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital, is set to host an art exhibition for artist
and calligrapher Mourad Boutros between 5 and 8 September 2012
at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre [ADNEC], as part of the
Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition 2012.
The exhibition is being organised under the auspices of the Global
Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, to be held under the patronage
of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the invitation of
HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The patronage of
HH Sheikh Hamdan reinforces his commitment to preserve the horse
racing heritage, legacy and value besides adding a cultural dimension
to the festival.
The art exhibition is unique as the international artist have developed
artworks and paintings specifically for the festival, which re-emphasizes its global appeal as well as international trends.
Boutros’ artworks at the exhibition have been developed in cooperation
with leading artists, including the renowned Emmanuel Guiragossian.
In these exclusive pieces, Boutros have come up with exquisite Arabic
calligraphy which blends perfectly with the beautiful visual background
developed by the painter. The calligraphy, being the main focus of the
painting, brings out the beauty of the artworks.
The artworks presented by Boutros this year focus on a wide array of
themes, including horses, falcons, maxims and Al Mahaba which perfectly blends the paintings with calligraphy. This the first time when Boutros has showcased the beauty and flexibility of Arabic calligraphy with the artworks of famous painters.
